Goldsboro Top Three Tell Their Stories
From past experience, Anthony knew that when the water is cold and high, coupled with the cold front that had just gone through, that he could find fish in the Swatara Creek. He spent some time in the main river, but him and his rider only picked up a couple fish there. He was unable to get a jerkbait bite going and found that he needed to deadstick tubes. Although he only had 7 bites during the day, once he headed back into the Swatara, he hooked up with the bigs ones.
George started his day with a dirty green pumpkin tube, because that is what was already tied onto his rod. His first two bites did not commit and he lost them. He switched to a black with red flake tube and that did the trick. He moved around a lot during the day and ironically had his best group of fish right at the ramp in front of the parking lot.
Chris used a "special" tube color which he did not reveal, but I think I heard someone mention it was dirty green pumpkin. They started at the ramp and Spencer had a largemouth there, but it wasn't until they went up to the Swatara that he caught what he needed to place third and take lunker.
Thanks to Spencer and Chris for getting this shot of Chris's Lunker!
